Can anyone identify this patch?
29 May, 2010, 22:17
I've had this patch knocking around for some time, fairly confident it belonged to the old man as it was with his name tapes and RMP cap badge.
Anyone got any idea where it's from?

Re: Can anyone identify this patch?
How long ago was he in?
I've never seen one like that floating around either the RMP training school or the defence police college.

Re: Can anyone identify this patch?
He was in from '77 to '94.
I'm not convinced it was part of his own livery as it's Velcro backed, but he definitely 'aquired' it on his travels.

Definately not a british unit or div flash, judging by the shape of the border around the tree either german or austrian unit probaly infantry

Re: Can anyone identify this patch?
this is the only thing i could find to do with a patch of a tree ............. 46th Infantry Division The tree represents a Sherwood Forrest oak, chosen for this Territorial Army Division because it was composed of Territorials of the north-midland counties*......the patch is dated circa ww2

Well, looks like it's destined to be a mystery...
Thanks for the help anyway

Re: Can anyone identify this patch?
Thought I'd try and revive this as there's more people on the forum.
Anybody any ideas?

Someone on ARRSE forums will know (or at least have an opinion...).

Re: Can anyone identify this patch?
Have a look at a user called Lancashire Embroidery on the bay.
They do ALL of the contract patches under the NSN contract and I'm almost certain I've seen that on their shop.
