TRI 152 Help needed
13 March, 2017, 20:04
Evening gents.
For a comms setup, I have myself a TRI 152, MSA Nexus U94 PTT, and a set of TRI Comtac 3's.
Now, pins A and E are shorted in the PTT, but still no transmit when using the headset. Any ideas?

Re: TRI 152 Help needed
Hi,
From memory you need to modify the Nexus U94 to work with it.
On the TRI you ground pin C on the 229 connector to put the radio into transmit.
A & E are connected if you don't want to use the adaptor for standard NATO audio kit. Now the impedance is wrong for most NATO kit so there was a TRI mod that added an internal amplifier and impedance matching circuit allowing you to use genuine kit with it. It might be that the PTT is not working on the lead combo you have - has it transmitted? Does it work fine from the side button?
I assume that is why lots of people get the 10pin maritime version as that just seems to work.
Cheers Steve
