Mp5 lighted foregrip on a benelli M3 shotgun

Ok all, I'm thinking of trying to fit an Mp5 lighted foregrip (probably G&P or a chinese one) on my M3 shotgun.

Has anyone actually done this before, and know if it's possible/impossible?

I don't want to buy the foregrip and find out it's too narrow/short for the M3 so anyone in a position to compare sizings would be much appreciated!

If the grip would fit, I'm thinking some gentle drilling, bolt it down and use araldite or similar to hold it in place

I've seen it done, looks good when done well.
