Glue issue.
5 July, 2010, 21:42
Righy ho, not sure if i'm on the right board but i've ot an issue with some glue: so i was gluing a silencer thread to my MP5K, and, SOMEHOW i manged to get some glue in the barrel (Araldite precision for the record) so it blocks the bullets from comig out. Oh i got bullet jammed, and it ABSOLUTELY WON'T come out and i've got no idea how to get it out and get rid of the glue. Ideas?

Re: Glue issue.
Unfortunayely, the glue has glued th inner barrel to the iron sights, which you have to remove to dissassemble it.

Re: Glue issue.
It fires bullets? If so, you're definitely on the wrong board!!

Re: Glue issue.
So am I right in thinking you have glued a silencer on the gun and managed to glue the whole of the front end together as well?
In doing so getting some inside the barrel that you can no longer get to because there is now a silencer in the way.
Why didn't you just use thread lock, or plumbers tape so you could remove things if you needed to?
You need to get something down the barrel, or break the bond to get the barrel out...Either way that wont be easy....
I suppose it would be possible to contact the manufacturer, ask them what disolves the glue and try and get some of it on a cleaning rod withough getting it on the rest of the gun.
