AA L85 Upgrading tip
17 July, 2010, 21:02
I have just purchased myself a AA SA80 and looking to get it upgraded a bit,
Anyone who owns one, can you reccomend what upgrades should be done to it, would like it to be more accurate than a high ROF
I have already disable the blowback

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
Give the barrel a good cleaning and replace the hop up rubber. I've put a Guarder clear rubber in mine and it is deadly accurate. That's the only modification I've done to it and it's never missed a beat since. My friend compares the accuracy and range to his M14 soo it's pretty good
£5 jobby and definatly worth it

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
Def a new hop up rubber and just clean the internals and you would gain a bit by that. But a tb barrel would do good too.

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
get yourself a star susat to make it look better than the normal crappy iron sights, there's normally a few being sold on the accessories part of the classifides.

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
the army l85 , need a replacement piston get the 10mm spacer for the modification so it allows you to use any V2 14tooth piston
also clean the barrel , and the loads of grease from the gearbox , re lube it
change the hop rubber to either tm rubber or madbull for best results

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
you need a G&G susat, not a star one ... the rails are different sizes.

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
guys , he DOESN'T need the susat , it is an accessory, not a required item ,
the iron sights are good enough ,

Re: AA L85 Upgrading tip
What is this 10mm spacer modification for the piston?
As a friend is about to buy the AA L85 and he wants me to mod it.
Also i prefer the L85 with the ACOG on it.
More current i feel.
