Re: Dynatec blank granade
They are generally VERY consistant for years and loads of use.
I made one take longer by accident. I sprayed right inside the wee hole while cocked with silicone spray.
It took it up to about 6 seconds.
Jus noticed your with the PLMC chaps. You comin to Catterick in a few weeks? Good size posse goin down

Re: Dynatec blank granade
If a dynatech is ever doing more or less than ~4 seconds, prime it, and spray silicone into the hole. Dirt and grime can slow down the timer, while grit can shorten the time by interfering with the airseal. As Clot mentioned, straight after its been cleaned the timings can be off, but if you dry fire it a few times, the timings will generally sort themselves out again.
If that dosen't fix it, you may need to take it apart and give it a proper clean (unlucky). That involves clamping the aluminium head into a vice and hitting the body with a hammer until it separates. Once you've collected up the parts and cleaned and re-oiled them it should be good as new. Once you work out a way of getting it back together. I think it requires a combination of brute force and leverage. Or 'whatever you can get to work'.

Re: Dynatec blank granade
But you see my grenade is brand new so no cleaning is necessary.

Re: Dynatec blank granade
Why do you need it to be longer? The best bit about them is that they go off instantly when popped around a corner.
Jus carry some other pyro, lol. I got a box of thermos for Catterick.
We have 7 guys so far goin down, hopefully get another one to fill a space in the car and help with fuel cash. And yeap, we are on the green side aswell :0

Re: Dynatec blank granade
1-2 sec are good for CQB but most of the time we play on Players of war site and it`s all woodland and on longer range 1-2 sec it`s not enough.
ps. So on Catterick BBfield we gonna kick some arss together. Cant wait.

I was kinda lucky with mine. I got one 2nd hand which goes off after 1 second, and a new one which takes about 3. So if I need an instant bang, I use one, if I need a delay, I'll use the other.
Don't fancy taking one of them apart though!!!

Re: Dynatec blank granade
Hmm all three of mine are a consistent 3 or so seconds. Even in a woodland environment 2-3 seconds should be fine.
You shouldn't really be chucking them miles anyway to be honest. 1 you will lose them and 2 it will bloody hurt if you get whacked with one being chucked 20 or so feet or more.

I never throw them outdoors anymore. Always into buildings or inside them. Last time I threw it outside someone punted it away to stay alive and it was lost for a long time
