    Alternative MP5 Rail idea

    Hi there I've started this little project of mine to have a rail on the top of my MP5 to specifically fit a Eotech 553, I've cropped the rail of of an old M4 body and now I have no Idea what to do next.

    It fits I know but, there is one problem, How would i get the Rail to stay on the Top of the MP5?

      Why don't you just get a mo5 low profile claw mount ?

        I've thought of it, but it's not as long as I've seen and handled one before, they don't fit an 553 Eotech last time i checked.

          i just have a crappy cyma mp5 low mount on mine



          with eotech 552



          and acog

              But the crappy cyma one has a seperate rail on the top so you don't have to dremmel either the scope or rail for the fit.

                  Most of the other rails are single height and the attachment legs get in the way of your scope fitting properly withought loads of messing arround...Dont the cyma ones have a good sized rail?

                      Ah c**p I went ahead and cut the rail ( I'd done it before I posted the thread) I feel like an idiot, is there a way to stick the two pieces back together?

                        Just buy one of the cyma ones...

                        Shadow you can see on yours that the rail is higher than the attachment feet. You may think it is obvious but if you look at the CA one they are more suited to singe or double scope ring type attachments.

                          I got a Low profile scope mount today with a trade, and the 553 Eotech is hard to fit on the rail...
