Ump 9mm...possible?
5 January, 2011, 20:28
Hey.
I was thinking of starting a project gun and after searching the net can't find the answers I want.
Basically I want to try and get an ump and convert it 9mm as it seems no one makes an ump 9mm.
I was wondering if this is even possible and if you guys could give me some help on hopefully achieving this.
Cheers
Matt

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
I don't understand? Do you want to make a live firing weapon? If so, you've come to the wrong forum!
Airsoft is generally 6mm or 8mm Ball Bearings, not using live ammunition

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
If you want to make it a live firing weapon then please, get out of airsoft and save us all from having to have two-tone guns because you rob a bank. Thanks.

Winston (getting unsteadily to his feet): "Madam, if I were your husband ... I'd drink it."

Whoah fella's!
Let's not jump to conclusions.
Have you not googled UMP 9mm? That would find you a curved mag variant of the HK rifle.
The only problem would be, if you've got the tools to do the necessary body work, is sorting out the magazines. I suppose you could modify some MP5 magazines etc.

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
No I don't want to make a live firing weapon sorry.
An ump 9mm is just another version of the ump with an mp5 style magazine. I want to try and make an airsoft replica to look like one of these.
Like for example the ump James bond uses at the end of casino royale.
Sorry for the confusion
And I'm definatly not here to ruin the beautiful game of airsoft lol.
Google ump 9mm and you'll see the different magazine.

That's called.
Being ninja'd.
I google'd Airsoft UMP 9mm but nothing came up. I'm pretty sure it will have been done before, it's just putting your mind to it with the dimensions etc.

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
Ah i see where your coming from, i think it would possible but with alot effort; i'm sure if you could get the dimensions you would be able to whack a mp5 magazine in there and it would still be operational:D

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
Thank you for saving me there lol.
I should of put pictures up myself first
But yeah the idea is to basically try and fit an mp5 magazine into an ump.

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
talk to pantopes.
i think he tried to use a heat gun to make the mags pliable enough to set them in a curved possition but he had a endless ammount of feeding issues
trading WE M16A1 for CYMA or RS SVD with PSOP

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
Tried and failed. No one makes the UMP-9 / UMP-9 mags.
Asked a master airsmith in Japan if it was possible to make the mags - not without BIG bucks.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Re: Ump 9mm...possible?
At least you've saved me trying then haha.
No way of converting for an mp5 mag to fit then?
Ump 45 it is then even if the mags are as long as my legs haha!
