D boys m4 metal body compatability

Hi all,

I have a G&G GR16 pneumatic blowback (the plastic version) and decided I wanted to change over the body to metal as my plastic body is clear. So I bought a d boys metal body. Now I've took off the pneumatic blowback system so that I can fit it in the metal body however, some externals of the gearbox still need shaving down for a snug fit.

Also, the upper reciver where the handguard fits on has not been threaded so will not allow my free float ris to attach. How can I sort this problem?

And finally is this metal body even compatable with the G&G? I thought it would be as they all house v2 gearboxes.

Any help and advice greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Simple answer is no. The dboys bodies are piles of steaming poo. Tolerances are way out, and fitting one to a G&G with blowback isn't going to make life easier. The upper receiver will be threaded. If it isn't then it's a dodgey one and needs to be sent back. Did you take the delta ring off to reveal the threads

No, it didn't come with a delta ring. Anyways will toss the body aside. But do you or anyone else on here know what metal body would fit the pneumatic blowback G&G? Has anyone ever swapped bodies over and if so what one? I really don't want to spend money on a metal body which only may fit. Want to be 100% or 99.99% certain lol.

Only the G&G metal body for blowback series will fit. But it doesn't come cheap
