Re-Wiring a PTT From Kenwood to Motorola
29 January, 2011, 10:18
I have a real steel Nexus U94 PTT that has been down wired for a Kenwood 2Pin Radio
I have a China Soft Copy U94 PTT in a military style screw in pin for the headset down wired to a 2 pin Motorola
I am using MSA Sordin CC Supreme, real steel
I need to use the Wiring from the 2 pin Motorola in the real steel PTT, i don't think this should be a problem because they are both already are wired for use on a PMR446 type radio
Currently the real steel has:
A Green wire that goes to 3 on the nexus terminal
a Blue wire that goes to the 2 on the nexus terminal
a black wire that goes to one PTT contact
a Thick Black wire that appears to have been connected to something but has come loose
Then Number 4 and 1 on the PTT are connected together and then connect to the other side of the PTT contact
Currently Fake China PTT has:
Black wire to PTT
Yellow Wire to PTT
White wire to Screw on military type pin
Red wire to Screw on military type pin
then the Military style screw on pin has 2 white wires that go to the same side of the PTT contact
Can someone please help me rewire this ?
Any help or information would be appreciated
I have taken some pictures to show you the insides of both PTT
