40mm Gas Capacity question.
7 February, 2011, 16:59
Hi all. very noob question, Does say a 48rnd 40mm grenade use the same amount of gas to fill as 120rnd 40mm grenade? Or does the larger capacity grenade need more gas? Thanks for any replies.

Re: 40mm GBB question.
It's usually pretty much indistinguishable, as 40mm shells fill so quickly.

Re: 40mm Gas Capacity question.
depends mate, on gas,
134a will be less pure gas then green gas - propane etc due to the mix's inside the cans, but thats another discussion all together,
but many normal 40mm chambers are same capacity, just different rounds,
until you get the 150+ round shells which are larger and hold a fraction more gas in the chamber

Re: 40mm Gas Capacity question.
no worries mate,
basically, fill the m203 shell like a gbb pistol mag,
inverted, and a good fill for 2-3 seconds and it will have enough of power to propel the ammo outwards
