  • Removing Krylon??!

    Decided it would be nice to get my SPR back to black. Wondering whats the best way to get rid of krylon without too much expense.

    strip the AEG and then wash the parts with warm soapy water and use a nylon nail brush and some elbow grease to remove the krylon.

    don't use any paint stripper or similar if there is any plastic as it might melt it.

    lastly if you can't be bothered with the nail brush krylon it black.
    Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

      Ta jebus...do you know if optics are water tight?..as i dont want my scope getting filled with warm soapy water :/

          good quality optics should be watertight but remove any batteries if it has them. ACM optics should be but there is no guarentee that they won't leak

            Warm water and washing up liquid seemed to do just fine, i used a brillo pad and some white spirit to make sure its all off but it worked well..thanks for your help guys

              glad it worked

              for future reference whenever im stripping paint off metal (of a good make) i use nail varnish remover. it works wonders
