Comms problem.
2 September, 2009, 18:38
Righty..
I have a Uniden PMR 845 handset and a single pin talkabout headset.
It plugs in no problem, but once plugged in the radio constantly boradcasts and will not accept any incoming transmissions.
Further more, the speaker in the headset acts as the microphone, and the mic the speaker.... So i'm guessing there's a mix up in the connectors.
Am I right in saying the motorola connector is unique only to motorola, or is there something els wrong...?
I assumed all 1 pin connectors would be the same.
Any help would be welcomed, and sorry if it sounds complicated but it's not easy to explain :D
Thanks.

Re: Comms problem.
As far as I'm aware, the Motorola hand/headsets have thier own pin design which may not work with other identical looking pins or connectors, but there should be adaptors available from stores such as Maplin.
*Edit* Usually if you pop into Maplin's stores with the items in question they'll test things out before you buy to check that they work if you ask them for advice. They certainly did when I bought my hand/heasets.
