stock tubes
22 February, 2012, 18:34
ok i want a xm177 stock but the only ones i can find at a reasonable price are the aeg ones but i have a gbb
i seem to be having a mental block as i cant remember what issues arise with fitting aeg stocks to gbb tubes
am i correct in saying they are loose on a gbb tube?
cheers people

Re: stock tubes
Thats the issue i'm thinking of, I recently got a Gbb M4 with standard stock and wanted to fit a crane stock on.
The info I found is Gbb stock tube's diameter is slightly larger than AEG.
So normal AEG stock would not fit on Gbb and Gbb stock will be a bit wobble on AEG.
Another thing I found is my Magpul MOE stock on my AEG fitted the Gbb perfectly and the original AEG M4 stock would bot fit.
I think GBB and PTW have same diameter buffer tube

Re: stock tubes
ive posted this up on another thread, you have 3 options
1: buy a commercial spec stock and use your current stock tube.
2: buy a mil spec stock tube and use an aeg stock.
3: file/sand down the inside of an aeg stock to fit your existing stock tube (cheapest option)
hope it helps you both
