Swiss Arms S A 1 help!
15 April, 2012, 10:19
Hello everyone, i'm relativly new to Airsoft, I currently have a Classic Army M15A4, WE M1911 and a Swiss Arms S A 1. Its the SA1 I need help with.
I got it off of a friend and its a bit down on power, is there any upgrade internals that will fit it? Thank you.

Re: Swiss Arms S A 1 help!
Incorrect! I belive that it uses VSR parts. So a VSR spring will do it, but you will need a new trigger sear ect.
BUT!
I have heard reports that it uses Maruzen APS parts AND VSR parts.

Re: Swiss Arms S A 1 help!
Vsr trigger and piston sear are not compatible with APS parts whilst the VSR piston does not fit, therefor only reliable way to upgrade is lathe some parts of your own I.e piston and spring guide.

Yes there are. All but an upgraded cylinder as its different size to other guns.
Speak to Daz at ASPUK or Daz666 on here I think he should be able to sort you out.

Re: Swiss Arms S A 1 help!
vsr spring, spring guide along with trigger and piston sear will fit.
However it's the piston where you'll have a problem.
It's slightly smaller diameter than the vsr piston (in fact the SA1 cylinder is smaller). I don't know of any 45 Degree pistons where the width is small enough to fit in the SA1 cylinder.
However if you know someone with a lathe, they could make you one from Aluminium quite cheaply.

Can anything be done to the barrel assembly. I know for a fact that Laylax pss96 barrel spacers fit smugly, but Im unsure if the barrel and hop are unique. Also out of interest, how did you remove the cylinder head?

Barrel, probably. Hop unit, no. The bucking and arm are VSR clones so should fit.
The cylinder head came off with a fair amount of persuasion. Just untwisted. Before going at it with a set of pliers and a tea towel make sure it's not a crimped cylinder.
