which spring
7 January, 2010, 14:33
my vsr is totally stock just now and i want to upgrade the power.
i dont need super high fps - anything up to 350 is fine.
shall i put in a 100 or 110 spring?
will standard internals be able to cope with a 110 spring?
all advice appreciated!
cheers
mac

Re: which spring
M110 will give you over 350 fps!!!!
You can just about cut it with a M105 for 345 - 355.
A M100 will give you more like 330.
Bearing in mind the FPS makes no real difference at this kind of level, you probably should stick with the M100, as your weapon will be allowed at more sites.
Some
are rather strict, and if that M105 gave you 351, they would turn you away!
Most sites are OK with big FPS sniper limits, but at sub 350, might aswell be 330!

Re: which spring
total fps isnt much a problem. - i play at 500fps limit sites.
just wanted to make sure that the stock vsr internals can take it.
cheers though jag

Re: which spring
Jag - How sure are you? Are you going on your knowledge of AEG springs? M springs and SP springs are quite different...
I like to think i know a little about VSR's
and my VSR is kicking out a solid 330fps with a Laylax 110sp. I'd say go for a 130sp, you'll get some good use out of your rifle before needing to replace a few parts...
