and a broom handle ,
now both ends of each spacer will be dipped for the oring for absorbtion effect to take place
but this is the cunundrum

Re: L96 barrel spacers
I personally wouldn't want to go with anything too hard as that will amplify and movement and wreck the accuracy. Ive always found foam covered by electric tape works. As it'll soak all the movement up. Your oring idea is a good one but i don't think an o-ring will absorb an awful lot.

Re: L96 barrel spacers
well that is what laylax are arcylic with orings ,
the more you have inthe inner barrel space the quieter it will be , thats why me and alex always say a minimum of 4-5 spacers ,
plus they wont be a really tight fit ,
the outer barrel's inner dimensions are 22.38 mm so i would make them around 21.8 mm plus the orings

Re: L96 barrel spacers
I used the laylax ones on my first bar-10. However on my second one i used foam and elecy tape. As the bar-10 had a tapered barrel i found the laylax ones to be useless. But by the looks of the l96 outer it doesn't look tapered, so i suppose in all rights the laylax ones would work.

Re: L96 barrel spacers
there are two versions of laylax spacers , there are g-spec versions ( norman non tapered )
the vsr 10 or vsr pro( the tapered ones )
the l96 is a constant size all the way down the outer barrel , i know laylax ones would work , but it will be cheaper to make my own , but dont know weither the two materials i can easily get will be any good , hense the poll :p

Re: L96 barrel spacers
just wrap leccy tape round the barrel. Make as many spacers as you want. May run you for £5 of tape but saves the ball ache of lathing up material.
