  • Upgrading the L96

Ok, so I have a warrior mk.2 L96 that is currently in pieces awaiting internal upgrades.

I was looking at buying these parts for it:

    1. Laylax Zero Trigger
    2. HP hop up unit
    3. DB Custom 6.01 tightbore

I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether these parts are compatible with each other without any modifications.

    Many thanks,
    Blue

if you look on the shop mate there a trigger on there . the best inner barrel for it is an edgi .01 , i think the HP hop unit will fit mate but not 100 % sure

I don't suppose you could provide me with a link for a decent place to buy the edgi .01?
      Thanks again.

Zero trigger will fit. Check with the hop as the adjustment screw bit doesnt line up on some makes - Im not all that sure. All barrels should fit, cant see why it wouldnt. Out of interest, where is this hop unit coming from?

          Cheers.

                Re: Upgrading the L96

Right well, I know i'm definately going with the zero trigger.

I have also decided to go for an EDGI barrel.

Now, they offer a barrel that is cut to fit PDI style hop units and one that is for the original hop unit that comes with the gun.

I was wondering if there is any major advantages of buying a different hop up rather than just using the one that comes with it.

As for springs, i'm going to keep the one that is currently in it as it is working well and is fine for my local limits.

When I do come to replace it I will aim for something that gives around the 450-500 fps mark.

                  Re: Upgrading the L96

the advanced hope up rubber gives more secure/sturdier adjustment more consistant shootin . .

when u find it is time to upgrade spring i'd go for the 150 spring mate

                    Alright cheers for the information.
So its worth buying the EDGI barrel thats cut to fit the PDI hop and get that instead of the original?
                    150 it is, ta.
Oh and sorry for all the questions, I always like to make sure I know exactly what I should do when it comes to upgrading internals.

Well i've been using excel .28s for the past year and they've been fine. I am going to change them though to either SGM .29s or excel .30s depending on how much money I have at the time.
