Harris on a 96

How many people have done this?
Does it work ok with the adaptor pin, because the harris doesn't have a flat surface the sides are at 45 deg

Works fine. You can find different adaptors for different guns online. Usually real steel sites in the states, but they are usually very cheap to buy.

i don't want it to go in the front like the standard Type 96, i fancy it going on bottom so it looks like a L115A3 instead, didnt know if it would simply screw into the stock with a nut on the inside, would the sides of the bipod stop it securing tightly?

Doesn't need to go in the front as i say Harris make adaptors to fit the pod onto any gun with a ris.

Its a dot com site so just google Harris bi pods for the site. It will cost around 20-30 dollars for one to fit a L96

there are also mounts that will actually fit the small lug on the under side of the L96, drill a small hole in that and it acts like the VSR sling loop ,
but maruzen do the block adaptor , also search countryman gun club in google as they have them in
