Sniper Problem
12 April, 2009, 22:07
Ok so my sniper is springer like most.
and when I cock it back. . it clicks like normal, then I should just have to push it forward to load the BB into the chamber.
but as I pull it back and it clicks. . its snaps the bolt forward pretty hard. . and I mean hard, if it catches my fingers it will do some damage. .
anyone else had this proplem >?<
Cheers

Re: Sniper Problem
This problem is often caused by the below:
-Loose trigger unit due to the receiver stripping out (re-tap the receiver or find .5mm bigger screws)
-Worn down piston (twist it to a new place)
-Worn down sears (replace them)
-Loose or broken spring gude (tighten or replace)
Hope that helps,
Alex (mj23lj)

Mike - Just to clarify for you, it's not that your spring is too strong, it's that your sears (possibly your piston if not upgraded) needs replacing, and can't handle a stronger spring in its "last breaths".

as for the O P i believe your sears have gone mate . need to replace . but also check pison for wear and trigger unit as alex as most probly said . .

Re: Sniper Problem
I have the same problem as Doudsy with my JG Bar - 10. These are the upgrades i have put into it:
laylax Piston
laylax Trigger sear
laylax 170 spring
I reckon it might be the piston sear, but who knows.
HELP PLEASE!!

Re: Sniper Problem
sniper best thing mate is to look at the piston and see if it is worn around the lip. also check the sear mate . if the sear looks worn replace it . dont keep cockin it because it will bugger more things up in the long run mate
