Hmm.. I think it may cope with that spring with no other upgrades, although to be honest it won't last very long. Sears are the first thing with higher power springs, and spring guide and spring guide stopper. That should cover it.

Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide
Right then at the request and correction:
G spec's id love to stick a fluted outer barrel in it obviously this means it will be the same length as a normal vsr , will it work and will it just be a case of swapping out the 330 for a normal vsr length inner barrel.

Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide
I'm assuming you mean PDI (I haven't seen many other brands)...
It will just replace your outer barrel and is a quick swap - although if you get spacers they are pretty tough to get in as they are a VERY tight fit...
You will need:
Fluted Barrel
Barrel Base
Barrel Cap (or silencer adaptor)
Barrel Spacers (or DIY them) - it's a much smaller diameter than the G-Spec.
Then, depending on what length fluted barrel you choose:
P Length = 430mm Inner Barrrel
L Length = 555mm Inner Barrrel
Hope that helps bud,
Alex (mj23lj)

Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide
Yep PDI is who i am referring too
Right ok
Lets add this to cart only place i found this was "fire of x"
for the full upgrade
will the barrel go in nicely with the gpsecs hop up, I swear the only thing different with the g spec is the barrel length?
Right full cost for the fluted set with the list above as well as inner barrel
is
23208 Yen thats £147 which actually isnt that bad at all

Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide
Fire of X is VERY good...
Like I said bud, it's a simple swap over (including the parts I said above). So the G-Specs hop-up unit is fully compatible.
The G-Spec's outer barrel is shorter, but is also a "light" version. Where as the PDI Fluted barrel is quite thick. They do light barrels as well...

Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide
hi all
i was reading on an american airsoft forum about putting as many barrel spacers in a vsr 10 to stop all vibration so the barrel is supported its entire length ?
would this make any difference from the just 2 upgraded spacers, ive got laylax ones in mine..
thanks

In terms of accuracy, probably not a great deal, in terms of vibration damping and sound control, I expect the more the merrier...

Re: Sniper Upgrades (based on a VSR) and Further Guide
Ohhh don't let MJ here that
He says use atleast 4 spacers in a G-spec. :D
Basically, they do two things....
The first, stabalise the barrel. Which means a more consistent shot, doesn't it?
Secondly, they actaully quieten the shot. As above, but reducing vibration which will quieten the shot.
