    how do i fully take apart a long tankaka m24/700 mag as i am in need of replacing the seals.

    I'm not 100% on this, but I'll say what I remember.

    Take off the baseplate. There's an Allen head screw holding the feed tube onto the mag shell. Undo it. Then I think you knock a pin out the back spine of the mag. Not the one that holds the striker plate in, but the one that holds the 2 parts of the mag together. Once you've done this, I expect the gas reservoir with it's shiny bulbs stuck underneath, will pull out the top of the shell. Then it should somewhat resemble a short mag. Knock the other pin out, and remove the striker plate. Undo the 4 screws in the back of the mag, and you're in.

    Might be that just undoing the screw at the bottom of the mag, might not free up the feed tube enough to get the shell off the mag proper. So if you undo the 2 top screws, by the gas route brass collar, then that'll loosen it up. Don't undo them all the way though, no need, and it means reassembling other bits I think.

    I think that's everything.
