  • smoother pull back?

    Hi all,

Using the PDI airflow cylidner kit in a maruzen APS2.

Now its not the hardest rifle to pull considering its at 495 fps but i wanted to know if there is a way to make it easier / lighter to load but still remaining at the high fps?

    Thanks

    yes there is mate,

    there are numerous ways,

one is to polish the bolt housing with brasso, smoothing the area of pull,
make sure the nylon rings are still in place for aiding of central bolt pull

also use correct grease on the outer bolt area, and polished bolt housing,
lithium grease is best, or teflon grease

also the new parts will need bedding in mate,

spend 5 mins a day just cocking the rifle to smooth out the niggles

Thanks, hte parts are not new so its kinda bedded in but the bolt housing could be smoother so will attempt that in the near future.

And there are supposed to be nylon rings inside the cylinder housing? :S

I don't think i saw any in mine....

in the aps- there should be moulded notches on the housing to act like the spacers from the g-spec

The brasso trick works well! i used fine wet n dry sandpaper to polish it up

one thing i noticed with mine is its very very smooth but the last 1/2" is tough which is where the mech clicks back, not sure if its a problem or are they all stiff the last bit ?
