Warrior L96 upgrades (sniper n00b!)

Hey, after this weekends skirmishing and people not taking there hits! I've decided i'm going to sniper and make sure the little f*****s do take there hits! Thus i have decided to buy a warrior L96, however i want to have upgrade options like the VSR/Bar-10 so! What would fit the L96

Does the first factory APS2/Type 96 stuff fit? Laylax PSS96 parts

was thinking the following

First Fact APS/Type 96 zero trigger (and wtf does that actually do btw?)
First Fact Teflon Coated Cylinder
First Fact High Pressure Piston
And a spring
9mm Spring Guide
What inner barrel do i need?
Barrel Spacers?
Anything else i should know before i get one

I would assume that these parts would fit if its a clone of the maurzen

I didn't realise the warriors where a copy of the Maurzen?

Personally if you are planning to do all that I would go for the bar 10 or VSR, unless its that easy to put the Maurzen L96's bits in?

But saying that I do love those L96's!

ye the well n warrior I are clones of the Maurzen, so they say, heard on different US forums that some bits fit, some bits don't, what jus wanting to confirm that the PSS96 bits would fit...

probably just go with a VSR with zero trig etc, if the L96 does happen to be upgradable then ill buy one later on in the year

If the Warrior is made by WELL it will take all Maruzen L96 after-market upgrade parts.

But as you will be a first time sniper and upgrader of a sniper rifle, I would not recommend the L96 as it is more tricky than the VSR to upgrade.

Grab yourself a VSR-10 (or BAR-10) and check out my upgrade thread mate, should sort you out nicely, and don't hesitate to post questions on the thread which I will do my best to answer.

+1 for the Vsr over the L96. It's lighter, quieter, easier to upgrade rifle.

Anyone know which the best spring is to put in a stock warrior L96 to get it to fire 500+fps with .29 bb's? Carnt afford to upgrade other internals.

Mate, 500fps with .29s will be about 550fps with .2s, which is over site limits. They measure with 0.2s.

I think that might not only be over "site" limits, but also illegal to skirmish, with most likely a jail punishment.

Also, if you can't upgrade other internals then my opinion is don't do it. Your rifle wont be able to handle that much power for very long. As well, people may disagree with me on this, but I would put a basic principle down as; The more you increase power the more inaccurate a rifle becomes.

So on that point, simply, why upgrade the power if you wont be able to hit anything with it?

You almost always need to upgrade accuracy parts every time you upgrade power parts.

see was going to do the VSR plus zero trig, new TF cylinder, laylax barrel and a sp170 (it wont b for skirmishings more for me to get use to using strong bolt actions)

so that should take me to bout 600fps if im not mistaken!

but i was going to do the similar thing to the L96

That wont put you at 600fps, closer to 530-550fps I'd say.

You'll still need a spring guide, bucking etc... Please look at my upgrade thread, it will tell you everything you need to know. And it will apply to the L96 as well (as far as knowing what to upgrade that is).

back again! Managed to get a L96 by well for 40 quid lmao! Problem is the trigger snapped off

so i need defo facts and fiction as to wot parts will fit

im very confused over parts as there are PSS96 by laylax, many different types of zero trigs, iE PSS2 and APS-2 etc

anyone actually got a well warrior I that has been upgraded?

This is what I put in my UTG L96, which I believe is the same as the WELL:

Internal:
- OK Cylinder (Could be a LayLax PSS2/96 Teflon)
- OK Cylinder Guide (Don't think Laylax do one)
- OK Cylinder Head (Could be LayLax PSS2/96 Head)
- OK Spring Guide (again, could be Laylax PSS2/96)
- SP170 Spring - Laylax PSS2
- LayLax PSS2/96 Piston Damper Head
- LayLax PSS2/96 Piston
- LayLax PSS2/96 Zero Trigger
- Firefly Hop-Up Bucking
- PDI Hop-Up Chamber (avoid at all costs if you can find another upgrade bucking, this is VERY difficult to tune, I hated mine - there are single lever chambers out there, just take a bit or searching - PM me as I think I know who has one)
- DBC 6.01 TB Barrel
- 4xPDI Barrel Spacers

External:
-D-Boyz harris style bipod
-FF long silencer and KA silencer adaptor
-NCStar 3-9x40 with KA 90mm sunshade
-Reinforced and foam filled WELL G22 body (originally a UTG L96)
