  • L96 Bullets going wild.

    Hey,

Just got my l96 out, havnt use it for about a year or two. ATM it is not very windy but the bullets are still flying everywhere.
I have tried zeroing the site but the bullets aren't going in the same place every time, so its practically impossible to zero it in.

Anyone have any ideas what is happening? I honestly have no clue. Thanks :P

Have you tried using BB's instead?!

People need more details about you set up, ammo etc to be able to offer specific advise

            Is the hop-up tuned properly?

May as well give it a once-over if it's been sitting for so long. Give the barrel a good clean, check the hop rubber isn't dry or cracked and if it is, lube it up and ensure all of the moving parts and o-rings are in working order. Then try again and try setting the hop up without the scope on. Once that's good put on the scope and zero that. :-)

.28s will still be effected by wind, try it on a completely still day

                    Re: L96 Bullets going wild.

As it's not been used in a year or two it needs a good servicing.

Expect the hop rubber and inner barrel to be filthy / damaged or twisted and the hop unit may be mis aligned and maybe even broken due to age. Usually the general cause of in accurate shots.
