Am i too OLD for this game

Hi
This is my first post and i hope i can gain some insight and friendly advice.
I have a nice kit of various items that i got for film props a while ago, i have always wondered what to expect if i actually used these for their intended purpose!
I am a little put off though as i have encountered some right wing elitists half my age and far too serious city boy types, if this is common then i can find myself getting rather annoyed very quickly, as after all, this is supposed to be fun.

Im 31 and without sounding like billy no-mates, i lack the shared interest within my circle of pals, so ill be 'plinking' alone, not a good start!

I live in the south of london, so i guess im looking for some advice on first timers and good places to start where the atmosphere is fun.

hey welcome the best advise i can give is too find out where your local site is and get along too a game dont mind that your on your tod as there is a few others (can almost garuntee it) who will be there by themselves aswell and it wont be long till your chatting away and haveing a good banter chat with all onsite.

Not sure where in South London you are, but went to Elite Action Games in Dorking yesterday. I must say, I was a little worried as everyone around me seemed about 12, but I had an absolutely fantastic day! It just seemed like one big long firefight! :D Every one was really friendly and I'll definitely be going back

Im 30 mate so no your not too old. I have a good group of friends who play too. I say PLAY as its only a game like you say some take it too serious!!

I'm in my early 40's and find that a lot of players are around my age. A while back we found that there are a lot of forum members born in '68.

Don't worry about your age. The simple fact that as you get older it's harder to shift any weight you put on should encourage you to run around in the woods for a few hours!

Lol im 35 and only just got into the sport

As for mates you make then at the various sites ans then you have a new circle of friends too :D
If your in south london there are a few close to you and i for one attend them, so come along and meet us,enjoy the sport and have fun

Youre certainly not too old, I'm 44 and still manage to creak around for the day. As for going on your own I'm in much the same boat, plenty of friends but none as into it as me, I can usualy persuade one or two along if I loan them a gun. As for the people you meet, well its the usual cross section from the good to the downright annoying, although I'd say the annoying are way outnumbered by those having fun. I mostly play at Ground zero, and people have always been friendly there.

Turning up on our own was the motivation behind setting up Team Lone Wolf for the Ground Zero weekender this year. Have a look at the team forum and if you like the sound of things, put a thread up saying where you will be playing and you may well find a few of the guys turn up.

37 and play at dorking, surprised there where so many kids that day as usually the site has a huge mix of young and old, and your never to old to play with guns :-}

alot of the people I play with are 30-40 .You'll always get the odd idiot ,but they're not always young. You just get more enjoyment when you shoot them ,so in some ways it adds to the game .
