Maybe mate, but 2 of us bought at the same time, then the other was just under 3 months later. Maybe they had just been lying around, or us 2 had a dodgy batch and he got an unlucky 1 out of another batch.

Re: TM AK47 Full wood and metal
go cyma or kalash for the all metal and wood experience.
TM are reliable, thats all they have going for them now days, and tbh i've had 5 cyma made ak's and 2 kalash, and i've had no problems (ranging from the mk2's right through to the mk5 electric blowbacks), just the usual changing hop rubbers every 6 mths or so depending on how much they've been used.
for £200 snoops your could get a lovely CYMA 47 plus an extra mag, and it would be one for the latest releases with the really nice wood, all proper varnished, and the steel bodies.
you see, an upgraded TM is soooo 3 years ago, used to have to buy your TM at £200 odd pounds, then the wood kit and metal body and it would work out £400 on an ak47, then china came along, stole all teh internals that TM use, but they were crap at first, but we westerners still bought the china made guns, then china decided to up their game, so we'd buy more, and so china started to rival TM internally, and surpass them externally with steel bodies and real wood finishes, and now we're all happy, except TM.

Are cyma Ak47 any good? If i do get a Ak13 i want one that wont keep breaking down & easy to get parts for.
Is there any other good makes that do wood & metal AK47 i should look at? I have about £260 to spend.

The later CYMA ones are, yeah. Don't bother with the older ones, such as the 0.28, though

Not to mention, if you go with a Kalash or Cyma, you can always drop a gas blowbak kit in later.

Re: TM AK47 Full wood and metal
for £260 you could easily get a CYMA ak47, 3 or 4 extra mags, and a battery and charger.
if your new to the sport that would be the basic AEG covered.
the gun itself costing £150, in the uk.
that said, i was looking on the sales forum here, and theres a lovely VFC 74 for around the £270 mark, if i had the moneys i've have it.

Re: TM AK47 Full wood and metal
BAHA - its Boffy/Graham (as in, your mate with the AK)
Mine is a CYMA, about 2-3 years old now and done well over 500,000 rounds. It was about £90 when I got it and I've not had to change a thing! You have to adjust the hop more often and the power of the battery has really lowered (need to change that shortly) but it has been well worth the money for a starter AEG.
The folding stock wasn't the strongest, but if you tighten it up as it goes loose you probably wouldn't of had the problem.
As for parts, you would be fine getting any replacements whether you wanted new or second-hand. AKs and M4s are the most common AEGs so it shouldn't cost too much either.
As for the TM - They're a great brand with quality internals. Not sure whether you really want to pay that much, but you are buying quality. Just make sure you're buying the rifle and not a KIT to add to a plastic version of the AK47.
Anyway, see you on the boards!
