Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
It will charge them, but 5A is a hell of a charge rate to charge them at and probably isn't good for the life of the battery. As Midas said, 2A would be better, I personally wouldn't charge them over that, but you have no choice. Might be worth investing in a new charger...

Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
Can you switch from fast to trickle charge or does it do this of its own accord? ie when fully charged it switches to trickle? If so then do that and you won't need a new charger. If not you will definitely need a new charger as that is way too powerful for the batteries you own.
I have one of those I can sell you for about £20. If all you are going to do is charge Nicads and Nimh batteries it is ideal. However, if you intend to change to Li po's at a later date, then you need to get something like an Imax b6. This costs around the same from the bay.
On a side note, the charger you own is designed for larger cap batteries. Your 4600 mah battery should be fine using that charger. Anything smaller and you risk ruining the batteries. Basically whatever mah you battery is divid that by 1000 and that's the recommended charge rate.
So a 4600 battery can charge at 4.6A. Your charger is knocking out 5a so that battery should be ok. However trying to charge an 1100 mah at 5 amps will kill it in short order as you should be charging around 1.1amps. Hope that helps you a little.
