I feel a four-year wait coming up. Sorry.

      Unk. Not this again.

Your parents can get registered if they play 3 games in OVER two months. Then they can buy RIFs (realistic imitation firearms, guns for short).

Otherwise, you can get them to buy a two tone gun, and lend it to you for games. you may NOT spray it black.

Wait until you're 18. Or rent. Or play with a bright green gun.

And renting's expensive. It's tough. It's your choice. Play cheaply and stick out, or fork out cash for rentals.

get your parents to play with you and get them to become airsoft members and then they can "rent" there RIF out to you

TKoS is correct. Your parents can be registered on your behalf.

The law states that the RIFs should be used for the permitted activities, not bought by someone who is (necessarily) invovled in that activity. It separately states that they can only be bought by over 18s.

Your parents can buy a RIF for you to use for airsoft. Simple.

i'm sorry mate but you have to be fare to everyone. especially a teen wanting to airsoft, you don't just turn him down from not being 18, you could have atleast said something like get your parents registered. if i were you i would just get your parents registered with UKARA then they can buy you guns as a 'gift'

do you know anyone else over 18 that would be willing to skirmish on your behalf?

Yeah, he said he might be able to persuade his parents. That'll be fine.

Discussion about how to get around the law and risking our sport is reckless at best. Airsoft has a defence against the VCR bill and not a statutory right. It just takes a home office minister to determine that abuse of the defence (leading to potentially llegal activity) like then one you suggest is taking place often enough to simply kill off airsoft.

Parents cannot simply get registered. To get any parents registered, the 'parents' need to go airsofting a number of times over a period of months. A site owner then can then decide that they are genuine airsofters which they of course would not be.

It absolutely amazes me how a few on this forum can openly discuss how to get around our priveliged VCR defence and potentially giving rise to a possible firearms offence- unbelievable really!!!!

Discussion of getting around firearms law for under 18s is effectively a discussion about an illegal activity and therefore against the forum rules. I know for 100% certainty the any discussion thread like this on ASUK for example would lead to a permanent ban.

You cannot legally buy an airsoft weapon (Realistic Imitation Firearm) RIF if you're under 18. No one can sell or supply you with an airsoft weapon RIF if you're under 18. The exception of course is if you get a multi-coloured weapon as Keep of Secrets mentions above it would then not be a RIF.
