Yes but his is also a gun that is 10 times more likely to be on the bench in pieces after his piston strips or the gun just wears out.

Having high ROF means the gun will wear out quicker.

My SPR is high rof and is a custom build, using a steel gearbox shell, Element internals mostly and systema high speed gears, JG high speed motor (if i put an m120 in it It will probably blow up.) and then the body is g&p with TM full stock, and DBOYS spr front end and grip.

End of the day with a sportline I would leave as is only thing I would change is metal bushings and the barrel.

don't get a sports line, if you intend on taking up airsofting seriously, no doubt you'll be wanting a metal body for it soon after you buy it.

Exactly, why not get a G&P M4, they're only a shade over £200 and you get the G&P M120 motor you were after

+1 again, no point in buying a cheap gun only to spend more on it than a more expensive rival, when really you should save that money you are going to spend to make yours like that more expensive rival and actually buy the rival more expensive higher quality gun.
The sportlines are great starter guns for learning the sport and maybe learning the internals of the gearbox.

A TM what? Unless you're going for a SOPMOD/Recoil Shock model I'd certainly stay away from their Armalites

TM are reliable and solid, but again you will get it and want a metal body on it, you will want it at 328 or 340 fps, so for the cost of TM you can get other stuff from other manufacturers which have a lot of upgrade parts like metal bushings or even bearings fitted, it should come in around the 1 joule mark as standard and will have a metal body already installed, companies like G&P have some fantastic metal bodies as standard, then you have the likes of ICS who make easily the most tunable AEG with its split gearbox and quick change kits, you can change the whole upper part of the gearbox (contains the spring, spring guide, cylinder, piston etc).

Depends on what you mean by best? My TM SOPMOD pro line recoil is prob one of the best M4s proformance wise out there but it aint the best on price do yourself a favour and get a G&P or some may say a KWA. G&Ps are fantastic bits of kit and they take most parts internal and external.

Iv heard those KWAs are fantastic internally and not bad externally, if its true about having to cut down an M80 spring to get it below 350fps, then that is one epically efficient gearbox, heard they are ROF monsters too on anything higher the an 8.4.
I know Iv had to drop to an M90 spring in my G&G M16A4 just to get it below 360fps.

lol G&G are not G&P :P G&P are far far superior. SRC is decent but you can't go wrong with a G&P M4 and most sites sell them also you can get some fantastic ones second hand on here.

                            Really?

If I had to choose between G&G and G&P, I'd go for the G&G any day. And I've had my fair share of G&P guns. When you get them, the first thing that's got to be done is changing out the hop rubber/ nub combo, heard many stories about the G&P hops being crap.

My LR-300S is currently only shooting at 270ish, but "if its not broken, don't open it up". She must be about 4 years old now and have fired around 200,000 rounds. Nothing's been changed.

Hmmm I use a G&P hop in my LR300, and its spot on, whereas my G&G overall sucks, the internals of the gearbox are shonky to say the least, plastic bushings on a 350 quid gun?!

Was about to say as bog standard hops go I always considered the G&P hop as one of the best... then you have the M120 motor which is fantastic...
