They are both reputable companies, but as i think someone has already said, G&G have better compatibility than ICS in terms of parts.

A friend of mine had the G&G GR16, which was a pretty awesome gun. Stock FPS was a site-friendly 330 and it lasted him many years with very consistent performance.

Thanks everyone for the advice.
I spoke to Zero one today via the telephone and as as long as I buy the upgrade (m90 spring) they will get the engineers to tweek with it to get it under 240 FPS for me.

So when I eventually get my U.K.A.R.A membership looks like I will be a G&G owner.
Knowing my luck they will never get any more in stock and it will be a discontinued model, that sort of thing always happens to me!

One last thing does anyone know what sort of battery it takes?

if its the raider then a crane stock battery if its the carbine then i think its a mini type battery

my friend has a GG, cannot fault it!!! very nice

but id still go for the ICS, esp if it has a split gearbox... makes it much easier to change the spring/mess around with your gearbox

anything that is TM compatable is G&G compatable.

I had a G&G, theyre great shame I got rid of mine. They come stock with a 6.04 quality tightbore, and mine came to 328 fps with about 4 fps variation. Feeds off almost any midcap. To warn you though, you have to cut the gas tube in half if you want to take the front end off !
