WE are redesigning their M4 mags, the current OB mags are just slightly modified versions of the old CB mags, hence the cheap conversion kits.
Trouble is, they haven't come out yet. The only one available is the 20 round VN-type mag, which comes with the WE M16A1. It is of the new design and as such performs better than the older mags.

haha
i have to say, ive used WE and WA base guns and i do prefer the WA, although the WE was the closed bolt not their new open bolt system
