don't lipo's have some weird charging system? I'm sure I read on one of the posts about it being different!

Yeh, they need a lipo specific charger, it balances the charge in each cell until full, use a normal charger and it will pop!
Only around 10-15 for one though, from the site I sent you

What I'd do? Nip down to your local site, ask someone if you can try out one of their lipo's on the range, I often lend one or two out, convert the masses one at a time! Lol
If the difference is worth it, go for it! If not, get a big rucksack, a car battery, some wire and let rip!
I like your idea. Similar can be had if you buy the Hornbill large front hand guard. You can fit a nice 14.8 in there then...
