Re: Playing with RIFS without UKARA
1) There's no such thing as getting/owning a UKARA (unless you're intending on buying a retailer organisation?)
2) It's not 3 games in 2 months, it's 3 games in no less than 2 months, so for example you could play your first game next week, your second in March and your third in May

Re: Playing with RIFS without UKARA
in answer to the question rather than a rant about the legailty of how you were sold them; UKARA only relates to the purchase of RIF and is a retailers method of validating that you have a valid defence. Now you own them UKARA doesn't matter. What does matter is you have a valid defence for owning them. Your defence is that you want to use them for playing airsoft not robbing banks, UKARA membership might help you prove this if you ever got challenged by the police.
as long as you don't go using them in public, or in plain sight of the public, stopped by the police with them in transit, or your house raided by the police for some other reason, you'll have no issues
the horror... the horror... (of the amount spent on airsoft)

There is no defence required for owning a RIF, as it's not a crime in the first place. Even if you get stopped by the police with them while in transit there's NOTHING they can do about it unless they have a firm belief that you're going to be up to no good.
The police cannot challenge someone for ownership, it is not a crime.

Unlikely that anyone would hold up your local posty with a BSA meteor but if your resident hood decided to unveil his concealed m92f, I'd suggest old Mrs Smith would have a corony

Re: Playing with RIFS without UKARA
The answer to your question is yes, you can skirmish your weapons with having a UKARA number.
Can't quite fathom why another question you did not ask is being answered above!

Because people never read the question, they just see "UKARA" and start talking about their own views and opinions on the subject.

Re: Playing with RIFS without UKARA
Ukara is not a legal requirement. Skirmishing is one of a very long list of valid defences, and having a defence is only a legal requirement when purchasing a RIF. If you really want a defence, join the millitary vehicle trust for £25 which entitles you to purchase any RIF.

It's a bit baffling but an air rifle or pistol is not a realistic IMMITATION firearm as it is actually classed as a firearm.
I own several air rifles and pistols, and intend on getting live fire firearms, and RIF's interested me for a little while but as I don't have a defence, I lost interest in ping pong shooters.

for me the interest is the realism, and the fact I can shoot people

Which is perfectly fine, and exactly what airsoft guns are for. I guess everyone has their own views and preferences within each category of firearm or RIF.
Personally I'm in it for target shooting with pistols, but a realistic appearance and blowback, which is why the 4.5mm suits me best.
As for rifles, that's for hunting vermin. So accuracy is key for a killshot to minimise suffering.
I still own a 6mm marui tactical master, that's basically a plastic paperweight as its knackered. It wouldn't be worth fixing and I doubt it would be of interest to others, but it's a part of my history and I wouldn't be the shooter I am today without my RIF.
