Custom's and UKARA.

Now before you say shouldn't be ordering airsoft kit with out a UKARA number, we dont have UKARA over here in Guernsey.

Anyway ordered a KSC USP.45 Tac from HK last week. First of a tusnami hit HK so it got delayed for 2 days. Once it got going all was fine until it got to your finest airport Heathrow. Its being shipped with TNT. Anyway since Monday its been stuck in Export Customs. Its now Thursday. Ive had no message to contact them. But is it worth phoning and explaining I dont have UKARA as we dont have it over here to try and hurry it up?

They cant charge me VAT or anything because we dont pay that over here. Anyone have any idea's?

I think waiting 4 days is nothing. People have had stuff stuck in customs for weeks. It's probably in a queue of stuff waiting to be checked

My last order for a realsteel Vltor flashhider was in customs nigh on a month. I wouldnt worry.

Cheers for the replies. Just wondering why its taken so long. Only other RIF ive ordered from outside of Guernsey was my L96 and that got stopped for about 3 days if I remember rightly. But that was about 6-7 years ago.

Phone them and say you would like to 'expedite clearance'. I do this every time and it speeds things up. If they get someone calling up, it cuts their workload in chasing.

You wouldn't have a number would you? Ive just googled it and gone on to the webpage but none of the numbers are really that clear to which one I should phone?

Edit: Think I found it. Just dialled the general number and went through. Now im in a que. Lovely.

No Andrew im not buying that 1911, as because Justin biffed it at the floor when throwing his toy's out of the pram after being shot in the hand for the umpting time it doesn't work properly.

Anyway your not helping the situation. Yes I am impatiant as its not Guernsey customs its UK customs and I dont see why they should be stopping it.

It's purely due to where it has come from and the nature of the contents. Of course they are going to hold it in customs to be checked once, twice, three times a lady

Yes very true. But still Grrr, I wanted it for the gas and spring only game Saturday. Well hopefully have it here for the next walk-on, on the 15th. If not ill be getting worried as it will be approching GZ weekender.

Update got through to the border agency who after taking my details decided to tell me that they can't help me its with customs in heathrow so phone them. New number given.
