Re: Buying a wall hanger under UKARA defence
I wise they would make an airsoft of the gun from starship troopers and the gun from space above and beyond lol
Funny most people would not say that the kitty corner shot is a rif when its a real gun lol
A judge and direct a jury its very true I think she tryed to direct us to let the guy off and my case was silly it had been blown all out of proportion but the guy had broken the law and he had no defence but to say that everyone else was lieing he could have said it was a simple family argument and that all of it had been translated from another language and was out of context but he didnt man it was so stupid to sit there and watch about 200 to 500k of tax payers money go down the drain on something so stupid.
Thats the sad thing about all of this if you took every penny everyone on this forum spends on airsoft it probably would`t pay for a years worth of airsoft related court fees and all the other legal fees and how much passing the vcr bill cost and the research and stuff
Its all just silly maybe if we had national service again it would be less of a problem, what are the swiss rif laws like regarding airsoft ? must be tricky when everyone had a gun too lol, maybe they just say no g3 rifs allowed there lol

I have no doubt that there are plenty of people out there who couldn't care less that a pulse rifle is a sci-fi gun. It's a gun in their mind and nothing any of us can say will alter that.
Well I think if 3 of you were in full colony marines gear and one of you kept says "game over man game over" that would be a pretty easy case to win in court I mean Id put the person who thought the guns were real on the stand
"have you seen aliens?" "no" "what do you mean no ? its aliens" "I mean no" "omg your crazy"
"Ladys and gentleman of the jury the defence has seen aliens you have seen aliens but just for kicks (out rolls the projector) heres the directors cut with an extra 40 mins"
3hours later the lights come on..... "Your honour the defence rests"
Que boston legal or ally macbeal sound track lol

Out of interest I looked this up and it seems they've got a very sensible system (what else would you expect?):

Re: Buying a wall hanger under UKARA defence
Because people would be trained in threat and weapon identification and also I hope we`d all get to use really nice airsoft guns during training lol
and I was not talking just about airsoft court cases I was talking about all mistaken if`s and rif`s for firearms resulting in wasted police time court cases and what not, airsoft would be tricky to narrow down you`ll end up with loads of cases of nurf guns and water pistols and what have you chucked in too
The UKAPU could probably tell us how many members it has defended and or the number of cases they have been called in to help of offer advice on ? Ive not checked if I have access to the members area yet, any-other UKAPU in the house with info that can be given out ?
Oh Robbin check out the swiss
Look they state "airsoft weapon" in their law wow the uk dont have such a term in law all we care about is if`s and rif`s but they state airsoft Im sure that means it would have to fire 6mm and 8mm and they have a max muzzle energy
Thats pretty cool that their airsoft weapons are classified do you think that law enforcement get decent training on them ?

Re: Buying a wall hanger under UKARA defence
I've gone through this whole thread and have no idea wtf is going on, i don't see what you're trying to get out of this Konassure, but to me it seems like you're trying to find a loop hole in the law and i don't see how that warrants a thread, you won't be able to legally get a RIF whether that be for skirmishing or not without valid defense whether that be skirmishing or for movie/ reenactment purposes, none of these things you plan to do so please simply stop, you can decide what the law is to suit yourself despite how flawed it is deal with it, it's there for a reason, if you continue to argue about that then words will not be able to describe with amount of crap i could not give to your viewpoint.

Re: Buying a wall hanger under UKARA defence
I was not trying to find loop hole to buy an rif my original point was is a ukara defence correct in the eyes of the law to buy a wall hanger with not just simply is there a way around the vcr act to buy a wall hanger I was trying to consider if lots of us maybe in danger of braking the law by buying rif`s that we have no intention of every using at a skirmish site even if we skirmish a lot
Anything else that happened after was simply a development in conversation or idea or question added by someone, my inital question was simple enough but I dont believe it has an easy 100% right or wrong answer.
I do how ever like to think that the ukara defence would cover selling to anyone with site membership on the ukara data base a rif even if you know its never going to be skirmished as collecting is part of airsoft for some skirmishers.
But I still think that theres room for the law to be twisted and people selling rif`s that are not going to be used to play airsoft with even if the person buying it has a ukara defence you could be some how seen to be breaking the law and I personally hate laws like this I wish it could just be black and white like say the speed limit.
