and that site came under scrutiny, claimed it would get information as to whether it was legal from the government and has since disapeared.

Yes they have gone quiet, but theyre still in operation so the HO cant be that against it can they?
That was the dodgy bit, as the u18 satisfies the defence of a skirmisher. And the adult consents and satifies the age. Now its a rather large loophole, but actually legal at the mo. so its not gonna stop anytime soon.

That and last time it came up, various users reported them to UKARA And the HO, and still no action, surely that means something?

it could mean a few things, also including that the gov are collecting information on illegal activitys which could then be used as a weapon against guns.
if the site in question was cleared, they would have been on here to show they were right.
lets not also forget that cases for prosecution arent done over night, they can take months.
sorry but i personally disagree it being legal,as the purchaser is over 18 but doesnt have a defence regardless who their buying for.
if it was legal, every other shop would be selling that way too,but they dont......and i beleive could be for a good reason.
however, this has been argued till people were blue in the face,so theres no point.

            Re: Junior membership

just had a look on the afore mentioned site and funnily enough,i cant find it anymore where its states that an over 18 non defence holder can purchase a rif for an u18 defence holder.
it does state that only over 18 with a defence can purchase a rif.

i wouldnt as it might get you a warning.

                  found this on the site
The VCR act introduced in October 2007 restricts the sale of replica weapons. Nobody under 18 can purchase any sort of imitation firearm and therefore we do not sell to under 18's. We also only sell realistic imitations to holders of current airsoft skirmishing site memberships, UKARA affiliated site members or AFRA members. Before placing an order for a RIF please furnish us with proof of your membership. See the VCR Act Buyers guide for more information.

but couldnt see the other bit....oh well, time will tell

When guns are involved, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't wait to shut down the operation while they're "collecting information".

This is the text from the website, load of old shit is you ask me and should be stopped before it does lasting damage to our defence

Nobody under 18 can purchase any sort of replica, realistic or not and that includes junior members. However, we can sell a RIF to the parent of a junior member. The sale has to be face to face, so no internet or telephone sales, both the parent and the junior member must be present and it's the parents decision the sale takes place, not the junior members. We are selling the RIF to the parent or guardian of the junior member for the purposes of airsoft skirmishing, the junior member must therefore satisfy the defense requirements.
Criteria for junior membership is exactly the same as full membership.
Junior members cannot go onto the UKARA database, so don't even bother looking at

Thing is, when you stop it, what about those who already have RIFs? Will it just be a 2005 all over again? Ie youve got em, keep them. But no more, for now.

Guys just leave it , we have already been through all this. Although it seems very dodgy and illegal, infact it is legal even though it seems as if it isn't..

No, Tim claims it is legal. There is a big difference between that and it being proved legal in court. There are serving police officers on the forum who disagree with him 100%, but don't want to rock the boat. He's said he'll contact the home office and get confirmation from them, though from experience that will probably take a few months.

Let's all wait until he either gets back to us with an answer from the home office, we hear that he's been prosecuted or he comes on the forum to say he's dropping the scheme on their advice.
