use the PM function

will do, wasnt aware the reason for the warning was because it was needlessly bumping the thread.
fizzy: no, i was just trying to make it a bit more light hearted, wasnt meant in a disrespectful way
didnt mean it to some across like that

I know typing doesn't always carry emotion, but, especially with the rolling eyes, it did (to me) come accross as being disrespectful

Re: Mods - Too Strict?!
I do a lot of buying/ selling and general chat on here, ihave had warnings that have, at the end of the day, been a result of me not reading the rules.
i have no problems with thi, on occasions when i've not understood a reason for a warning, i've pm'd the mod involved and had a satisfactory answer.
As i've stated in a previous post, the mod's do this free of charge, and , in my oppinion do a good job.
As to the sales thread, the template is a good thing, it shows exactly what is for sale and covers all the relevant info needed. When i post an item, i always add that i want any contact regarding said item to be done via PM, it makes my life a lot easier when i log in, as i can go straight to my PM inbox, and see wether the gear i've posted has generated any interest, instead of having to check each thread for replies.
All in all, this as an easy going forum compared to some i've ben on (and banned from), with a good balanced set of rules that are, at the end of the day, in place for our benefit.
To all mod's.
Keep up the good work, i'm proud to be a member of this airsoft community, and will be wearing my patch with pride.
Ratty.

Re: Mods - Too Strict?!
Pretty much everything ratty has said applies to me too. And second that about the mods doing a good job. Sometimes it looks like they are being over zealous but once you pm them and ask for an explanation it usually makes sense why the posts are removed.

I think that you will find that out of the larger airsoft forum this one has more lenient mods, and you were probably breaking the rules which are quite easy to follow. There are others where mods and other users will jump on you for asking a simple question and give you a roasting. I think that the mods do a good job, there was a time not long after i joined this forum that after i received a warning I was a bit of a c**k to a mod. I now understand that he was right to give me a warning - although it wasnt me that made the post which was what annoyed me the most, so i was taking my frustration out on someone else that didnt deserve it.
All in all, cheers guys, doing a good job and please continue.

Governators doesn't allow bumping at all. If you didn't bother to read the rules, or chose to ignore them, then there's only 1 person to blame. Besides, it was only a warning, not an infraction.

Re: Mods - Too Strict?!
airsoft ireland is one of the best if not the best forums out there moderation wise. As with all forums, if you read the rules most of your questions would have been answered, and i know for a fact that all questions from newcomers are answered politly nomatter how stupid 99% of the time. But i dotn want to start an argument here

I dont have any probs with them now,it was just the selling the guns thing that got to me.If i wanted to sell to other members i had to go to sites leave it to them to sell(with there wack on it)or post it on a forum "over seas"to sell or buy,but as i said im over it now.
