Well some of my Ratings are from people i havent dealt with.
If this is the case you should report the feedback in your itrader. That is the way to appeal against feedback reports.
This Post may contain my opinions and if you disagree with them Tough S**T!

Re: Itrader rating deal.
Some of the feedback is worthless. Here's one from our very own "iloveairsfotsniping" who left this for someone else in a tit-for-tat negative rating:
Needs to get a life! and grow up!
Gives people absolutely zero idea of what went on/wrong other than they had some sort of argument
And as Aribos says, why didn't you report it if it was given to you incorrectly? Or was it the fact that you've been accused of getting 2 positive ratings from someone you didn't deal with?

Re: Itrader rating deal.
Tend to agree with Shifty don't deal with anyone who has bad feedback, and if you ban a account then another just opens up
As for all the other suggestions Rampage has looked into ( and continues to do so) and has suggested ideas for improvements, but they are either Pooh poohed by the users or are currently unworkable due to not having access to the information due to Privacy / Information issues....
And again we remind users that you are using these forums at your own risk.
If anyone is leaving false Feedback or leaving feedback for Friends without trading, and it is reported and substantiated, then it will be removed.

Re: Itrader rating deal.
How about a tag under our user names saying something like "verified user" if we are willing to submit confirmation of name and address to admin. As long as these details are not being used for processing purposes, then it's exempt from the data protection act.
People can then choose a level of safety they are happy with:
Verified users with good feedback
Unverified users with good feedback
Verified users with no feedback
Unverified users with no feedback
Verified users with poor feedback
Unverified users with poor feedback
Let people decide how much they want the deal, but give them as much information as possible to go on.

Re: Itrader rating deal.
I still think banning would be effective, eventually. If everytime a known scam seller was to be banned using an alias he would eventually give up and go elsewhere. But to just use the "he'll only open another account" excuse, is, in my opinion, just brushing the problem under the carpet.
Make it hard work for them to scam, and they will go, ignore it and they will stay.
On the flip side and in defence of the mods. You can't expect them to do all the policing for you. As Steve says just because a deal looks good don't deal if you suspect he isn't Kosha. Make sure the guy is trustworthy through his feedback, or insist on face to face transactions.
You have to remind yourselves that this isn't Ebay. They are a professional selling site, with professional software to monitor dodgy users, and many more powers to enforce punishments.
This is first and foremost a discussion forum with the added bonus of a for sales section. In that respect it is our responsibility to make sure it runs properly, with the mods in assistance as and when neccessary.

I agree. In some cases it may well be futile, but at least the Mods\Admins are seen to be doing something, rather than letting it slide.
However, as 'Uncle Albert' says, it's not up to the mods to police sales, so use the advise listed here:

Re: Itrader rating deal.
i agree with the motives etc but what if you are some1 like me, who has like a 90% itrader rating, who gained a -1 simply because i gave a negative itrader rating and was only given this -1 because the person who gave it to me wanted to get their ownback?

Re: Itrader rating deal.
On your own feedback section, next to the feedback summary there is a report button. Also in general most people dont mind if its like a -1 or something its with people who are like 20% etc that we worry about. By that we mean between 99% and 80% Just do a little research etc and take factors into account. 80-60% exercise caution and with below 60% don't trade with them (obviously this is based on a fair few feedbacks i.e. more than 5 reviews)
