    Buyers should try and get as much information as they can from the selller (email, phone numbers, address ect.) then confirm that they are correct by ringing them.

    I'll use a recent purchase from Garf3r as an example. I bought an RIF off him last week. Before buying I checked his feedback which at the time wasn't great (but has been resolved now) so I got some personal information from him. The deal was pretty much done by text from there on in and it went off without a hitch . I also payed by bank transfer, which in my view is safer and quicker.
