How many posts did you have before your first sale?

And one of them I believe was the actual sales thread.
I only opened my account to sell a RIF.

Re: Does anyone believe this sale?
It seems to have gone now...
But in anycase 10 random posts isnt hard to achieve, especially to scam £100+...
any get feedback in the accesories section first? Really? I shouldnt even have to explain why thats a bad idea. There is no real way to cut down scammers except buyers being vigilant and Good moderation!

That is a monumentally stupid idea. Let's take for example a systema m4 at £1000. It has to be the right sort of buyer to buy it and they will know they will have to pay a very high amount. If the seller was then to drop it to £950, do you think people would rush to buy it? No. In my opinion price drops only have a point if it is a big drop such as from £400 to £300. By dropping it £20, you will still be advertising to the same market.
The system we have here is a good one, however there is a thing I would change which is to make pictures compulsory which would require moderation, but would reduce the amount of time wasters and maybe scammers. Just my thoughts.

Re: Does anyone believe this sale?
Im with beef. Those guns used to be well below 200 new ( I thin you are right they were around 160 odd all in). I bought decent illuminated scope for 25 quid. Add say 25 for a bipod and 65 for a g&p silencer So you are looking at about £270 say for a brand new gun with all that kit. Its 3 years pld, the fps is quited from website rather than tested.
Its not a rare/ unique or specially desirable wepon so Id will probably have 2 or 3 bumps before it goes for £160.
These days the price of 2nd hand guns has fallen drastically.

Not even that much, as the G&P silencer you mention is not needed as the SR-25 comes with one as standard but otherwise you are absolutly right

So so far we have found that the guy is guilty of nothing more than over pricing his item, as such probably won't sell the item anyway...lol
Quick let's track down everyone with overpriced items on Zero in and hound them
He will get to 10 posts purely through bumps. (keeps the post count bods happy)

Re: Does anyone believe this sale?
Well put Tisane, and I think that sums it up nicely
As for pricing, I will say that there are many an A&K M249 going for more than what they were new when they first came out. Why? well a couple of reasons are some (not all) have had a few mods done to make them more reliable, and the fact the new price on them has risen from £199 to £290
