And eye protection. It's possible that some sites may let you get away without wearing boots, but you just try to get away without eye protection. Still, if you are stupid enough to try it you could end up with a free labrador.

Airsofters get to a stage where they convince themselves that they NEED all the gear they take out into the field with them.


And it annoys me, as they didn't carry all that gear when they went for the first time, and obviously it didn't matter much otherwise they wouldn't have come back for more.

Seriously - all you need is a gun and ammo.

You don't need to be all kitted up in marching order for a sunday game.




I understand some players like to take "playing soldiers" a little too seriously, which is fine, but keep it rational.

Don't fill every pouch on your vest because just because they're there.


If you don't need it - leave it.

Bold Items are essentials (IMO)
Gun
2-3 High Caps (Plus 1 Spare Mid Cap)
Sidearm + 1 Mag
Some good, warm kit
Stable warm footwear, no flip flops!
Spare change of clothes and pants/socks.
Good Protection!
PMA, and a sense of humour
Assault Vest/Chest Rig
Food
Spotter
Binocs

The list is endless.

Pistols are hardly essiential, I've used my pistol maybe 3 times since I bought it a few years ago!

Eye protection, finger protection, ball protection, gun, magazine and BBs, thats all you actually need.

never done airsoft naked but i have done it without a lot on.

back in summer i would play a morning game with just my sniper rifle, full mag, a speed loader full of bbs + safety specs. (+ clothes obviously)

it is actually a good way to play because you aren't weighed down by anything and there isnt any kit to get caught up.

not to mention the fact that it makes shouting take your hits a bit stupid - seeing as im wearing just a thin top. - that happened once - a guy was shouting at me to take my hits and im stood there thinking "like i'm not going to feel it"
