Re: Best Multicam?
personaly i would go with the crye stuff, its built amazingly, fire resistant, stretch panels in all the right places, light material compared to the ops.. i could go on, its the best stuff and military grade hence the price, i would love it and i probably will get it eventually but for most its a bit much.
im currently using the OPS gear and cant recommend it enough (check out terminator 4 salvation hes using ops black trousers in that).. the other two brands i would stick with would be TAG and TAD, if your on a budget, the condor stuff is good but the stiching isnt anywhere near the quality of TAG stuffs.
piccy of me in the ops trousers
The propper and tru specs ok if your on a budget, but they are just basic bdus, the whole point of multicam is to cost you in the pocket... gucci all the way baby...
you can wait for the british stuff but last i heard they will just be standard issue clothing and not the awesome combat clothing crye does

Re: Best Multicam?
I know MC is expensive, and I was very reluctant to splash out so I brought a lot of the china replica kit.
In long run it was pinkish, and didn't last all that long.
Somebody on here once said to me, "buy cheap, buy twice!" :D

Re: Best Multicam?
it depends on how much time youve got in getting your kit together, you can slowly build it up,i know it sounds expensive but £60 for OPS is money well spent, you will feel like you spent double,it really is afordable quality
the rest you can get it overtime on the e auction site

Re: Best Multicam?
heh, its not quite multicam though, its a different pattern, but it is similar. Besides, whilst that looks pretty good for arid places, I still don't think it would be as good for greener stuff as dpm. Flecktarn for autumn and russian ss summer camo for summer, a winning combo
Jack of all trades, master of none, as they say!

Re: Best Multicam?
Camos are personal things people stick to the ones they own as there favs thats whats cool about airsoft you can run a ww2 setup in the middle of 10 multicam guys and its fine, the army choose multicam from all the tests they did, but then asked crye to make it look british..
uk-mtps not better than multicam, it is multicam. Its also worth noting although it is going to be used in iraq, its a mutli-terran pattern and will be completely replacing the uks camos, including dpm in the forest environment.
check out this pic, its the UKSF on deployment all in multicam, its little things like this that have got people thinking, notice there all wearing gen 2 crye gear.
The US uniforms up for renewal (ABU / ACU) apprently it was political last time, rather than choosing the smaller company that had the technically better camo, but this time with the uk leading the way, expect crye to be the new US camo as well, in either a traditional multicam or US-MTP. This hopefully will be good for us becuase they will have more money to expand there facilitys and hopefully in the long run theres more surplus to find its way to the airsoft market. As currently its not so much the price but how hard it is to get a full set of gen2s with pads. And why companys like ops can justify charging the same price as gen 2 stuff, becuase people have no choice atm but to buy from OPS.
maybe just maybe, we get multicam back in transformers :P

Re: Best Multicam?
The UK MTP stuff is an altered multicam, I don't think its correct to say its the same, its got more green in for one. I think multicam is a good cam for arid environments, which is why I think it makes sense for guys in Afghanistan to use it. However the fact is that a multi-terrain pattern is never going to be as good as a terrain specific one, untill we get some super tech camo atleast.

Re: Best Multicam?
it is super tech camo thats the point, its only altered in that they wanted it to be unique to britain.. they choose multicam, thats what they wanted but they couldnt have the same camo, it had to be unique for britain.
