I wear a set of multicam acu's, or multicam acu pants with multicam ubacs shirt. Patrol cap & my old jump boots. My long on single point sling & my short in a custom thigh rig.
Battle belt with 6 primary mags plus a drum mag for those protracted engagements. 4 secondary mags, first aid pouch for multi-tool, mars bar, batteries & speed loader. Water bottle carrier for my large compressible bottle of bb's, dump pouch & an accessory pouch for pyros & spare bag of bb's. Last but not least a hydration pack.
Not too heavy, enough for a day, easy to move about in & all low profile so minimal snag on undergrowth or building debris!
EVER SWIFT, EVER SURE

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
If it's a regular Skirmish day: DPM camo, shirt / smock / assault jacket depending on the weather, DPM assault vest, job done.
Regular FilmSim: Full DPM, assault vest, camel-back plus PRC-349 and maybe a Mk6 helmet.
Cold War FilmSim: Full 58 pattern gear, webbing, Mk5 helmet and NBC gear if required.
All sets come with boost bars.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
Jeans or 5.11 trousers and t-shirt/shirt.
Tactical Tailor MAV with X-Harness, 2 triple 5.55mm pouches, frag pouch, small utility pouch and radio pouch.
Fobus double pistol mag holder and a Serpa, both on paddles for my Glock 17.
Soon to be acquiring a holster that will fit my Glock and a streamlight TLR-1.
I find this set up is plenty enough for me but if I'm at a milsim, I'll chuck on a small cargo pack with my platypus in it to carry extra ammo and skittles.

i do that too
bit silly really as i dump shed loads of expensive kit in the mud and hope its there when i come back =/ shame theres no lockable boxes or something on the playing field. (i know thats asking allot)

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
on a normal days game i wear my Ricas plate carrier and on average it weighs roughly 25 pounds! love it that way though but when i do the mil-sim weekenders you can add my bergan on top of that and on the last few events that will come to 80 pounds, love it.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
I like to keep my kit light, I tend to use:
-5.11 Trousers in tundra
-Lowa desert elites
-WAS Grab bag with all my mags in plus a waterbottle and minor repair kit
- ICS M4 CQB pistol
-Hatch gloves or 5.11 gloves
-OD bush hat or black patrol cap
Weather dependant:
-BHI warrior wear shirt in OD (essentially a 5.11 copy) for hot weather
-M65 Jacket in OD with black tshirt underneath
So all very green.

What is like is a guide on how to have a scrim net hang off a baseball cap like a head only ghille suit! I've seen it done but not sure how!

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
Lightweight for me.
DPM PLCE,
DPM Smock, loads of useful pockets
S95 (DPM/DDPM/MTP) Trousers - more pockets
Cap,
3 Point Sling,
Kneepads,
Desert Boots,
Will probably change when I buy a pistol - Might be inclined to buy a Plate Carrier to facilitate the carrying of it and magazines.

Re: Skirmish Wear - How do you do it?
Just changed my load out from a warrior Ricas compact and MC to some Gen3 brown pants (tan knee pads) a green Highlander Sidewinder smock for cold weather, Tan polo or navy blue polo in the Summer months, PTS beanie for winter and a CB baseball cap for summer, Lowa Elite boots, MC battle belt with 5 fast mags for my M4 mids, 2 fast mags for my TM Glock17 mags, a utility pouch for extras, radio pouch, and a modified Fobus holster for my Glock and Tac light that fits to Molle.
Very light and comfy, can add a go bag for food and drink on the few weekenders I attend.
Fags and car keys in a pocket.
Will add a picture when I can.
