    thanks guys i have basically wrapped the outside with some spare dynamat i had and getting hold of a cover it does reduce the sound of my 300fps GBB pistol at about 2 meters so hope it will be fine in the field. also to all those slating me saying man up ECT i am no afraid of getting shot up at all and when i say dazed its more of similarly a than actually knocking me out as i go to a indoor CQB site where engagement can sometimes be less than 5 meters.

      I was thinking deaden it with something like silent coat or dynamat lol

          I've got the same lid, used solely for CQB (350fps with no bang rule and full auto allowed) and seriously, its not that loud.
          section 24 of the 1968 Act
          Supplying imitation firearms to minors
          1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
          2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.
