The elastic on that mag pouch is all stretched out of shape now because of that pistol. but the combo worked very well. Also I hadn't had chance to get my hands on a serpa at that time, and I hate having things strapped to my legs like some yank/walt/camp rat, etc.
the boots are normal meindl's, mate. second pair though as i did a lot of river crossings and the suede shrinks like buggery after a gazilion times walking upto your nut sack in water.
Outlaw: MC/DDPM isn't that common a combo with the lads on tour (well until MTP goes on issue) because of bullshitty dress policies, etc. But there are a few guys who (like me) like their gucci kit and wear a few non-standard issue items, weather for Allee-ness or quality of kit. And when you're on the ground, who's gonna moan?
To answer your question about my unit, I'm Artillery. Work in the FST role.
Good evening... Infidelllll!

No.
FSGs exist yes. But they're usually a mix of Infantry support Coys -Machine guns, Anti tanks, etc, with a few other supporting elements.
FSTs are completely different.
I could go into it in detail, but the thread would be too derailed and i'd be here all bloody day!

Military Transition Team. Maybe not the same then lol. I was thinking of something else, but cant remember the name of it now.
Ahh, the MOG teams. Thats the one. MiTT teams do the mentoring and liasion between the Afghan forces and police.
The MOG's are the Mobile Operation Groups. The guys who sit in the desert for a few weeks at a time.

I think you'll find the mentoring teams for the ANA/ANP in Afghan are called Operational Mentoring and Liason Teams, OMLT for short. Referred to as "Omlet" teams. Not MiTT teams.
You're more or less right about the MOGs though. Done a few myself.
Anyway, back on topic! :D
