Here's a taster of the pics for the upcoming legion in the 50s article.

At the time they pretty much used a massive mish mash of UK, US , French and German wartime kit.

Here I've got brit windproofs as worn by legion paras (altought they were usually retailored to have a full zip front and cargo pockets), US webbing, US helmet and a german Mp40.

Finding a vest i like / can afford is really putting a spanner in the works for me... anyone got any pointers on clone vests? Either that or im gonna sell up lol

finding the white flags on ebay is quite easy, or were they only issued to french national troops not the legion?
