The game was at UCAP virus. The shield worked well in the role we used it but it wasn't your run of the mill skirmish. The only shot I ever fired was the clear my gun at the end of the weekend lol.
I wouldn't fancy carrying the shield at a normal game. It's heavy, awkward to aim through and generally very unpractical. Not worth it at all.
But for that specific game at was a good prop and very useful in the operation

When playing in a CQB enviroment like Virus it would be very handy to have a shield team to clear the rooms and as for the specialist game we played there it was very usefull. But it can only be carried around for a full game by a big guy who has the arms to handle it. It was quite a battered shield so the "window" was scratched to fcuk so aiming was a problem but we did not fire a shot so it did not hinder us too much.

keep in mind i like to stay light not carry about stuff thats just for show ..but kinda aiming for this look of recon . But not to bothered on getting it 100%.

Well I can't give you any links due to the forum rules unfortunately, but if you search any of your regular tactical gear retailers for the 'Blackhawk SERPA' holsters (or indeed just google) there's a lot of different places that sell them.

They've been sitting in boxes since I finished customising them, so no, no trouble at all, hehe.

But no, I picked them up last year just as the weather turned a tad too chilly to be using them as a primary weapon at any skirmishes, and it's only just getting to the point now where I'm starting to consider them again. There's various other factors involved in but mainly the issue is that actually taking them to a game and being effective is a bit of a logistical nightmare. As soon as the weather's fine and the right skirmish day comes up I'll give them their baptism of fire though. The biggest problem is just keeping the magazines from leaking in the mean time really, you have to give them plenty of attention and silicone spray/oil.

Hey, I wasn't having a go at him! I was merely pointing out the fact that the UKARA is pretty much defunct for us junior skirmishers. it is a good attempt for a first loadout. Perhaps his parents are skirmishers. That would be alright I guess.

This is not my 'first' load-out as such, but the first one i have put any effort (read: put any money) into.

Blackhawk Strike Cutaway Vest in OD (swapped for one of my custom hi-capas - looked them up and they apparently retail for near £350! :O Bargain )
