U.S multi cam kit, but what gun???

i'm looking a bit of advice.

i've got a nice multicam kit together, still need a decent webbing set for it but thats easy to sort. The problem is, i just can't decide on what gun to use with it, and i suppose the weapon i do choose, i'll need a webbing set that goes with the rest of the kit and fits the mags of the gun.

i have only ak's, was going to get an ak tactical, but i want soemthing a little different.

i'm thinking of taking this kit down the PMC road, this leaves me with alot more options for weapons, and i'm just looking a bit of advice on what others have used and would recommend.

i ask the above question in a non noobie way, i've used a fair ammount of different weapons in my time, but i'm fairly new to buying equipment thats not for the old ak's and just wanna put it out there.

i'm leaning towards an m14, seen others using them at my local, and i like the look of them, very american, but mp5's are looking kinda cool too, and on the american front, i'm limited to the fact i hate armilites and my pregidous just won't allow it.

recommendations please...

Im the same, i couldnt bring myslef to get an ics m4. But really an armalite is the only gun that will suit the multicam loadout, (and ofcourse AK).

My advice is to hold your breathe and buy an m4 ris, you wont regret it!

i just don't think an m4 would sit right, in the middle of the eastern block armoury i've amassed...

what about augs? they look brutal, but kewl at the same time. could you see a PMC in multicam rolling around with an AUG?

How about a G36 of some description? Or a SIG? Could even go with a FAL para or an FNC?

mulitcam just screams armalite to me - whats your hangup on them?

if your going down pmc route, an ak, g36, m4n mp5 etc are most used, they arnt going to use obsure expensive guns due to lack of parts/expense/rarity of ammo sources

could just use another AK, would make sense for a PMC - use battlefield mags/ammo

scar is another option - though they might form part of your armalite prejudice

M16/M4
AK47/74
FAL
FNC

Personally I would not go for a G36 or an AUG (personal preference).

nice ideas,

never even thought of the SCAR, i think i likes it, with the nade launcher, that could work.

and yes to FAL's, i love them, probably go for an SLR tho, if i did, i could do 80's british then too, with a bit of DPM and 58's.

christ the scars are expensive! but that star version with the nade launcher looks the mutts nuts.

we'd be talking £700 be the time i get the gun, then mags and a nice set of webbing.

one question (remember i r total noob to most things not ak or shotgun)

whats the difference between the scar-H and scar-L?

and i take it they except standard m4 mags?

The H is "heavy",7.62mm.
The L is "light",5.56mm.
So the L will take M4 mags.

mmmm,

been doing a little searching, and found some reviews of the SCAR makers...

i think i'm going to go down the scar route, it looks awsome tbh, its tan which is a bit unusual, and i wanna look, "like a tr00 fut0r warri0r" which is a good bit different from my soviet worn out conscript look.

so in my research i've found the below 4 makers, need a few ideas and opinions of these, i've read a few bits, and reviews, and watched a few reviews, this being the best...

i like the star, simply for the launcher, and i can easily get an upgrade for fps.

that said, theres a certain hong kong site doing a D-boys scar for £110 posted at the momment!

still not decided tho...
