What do you think for delta?

My plan of kit was to be the following.

OD bb cap OR shemag maybe both
5.11 Tac vest (fits my m4 mags, speed loaders, 2 1911 mags, radio, car keys)
Plain civvie jumper/t-shirt as base layer
OD claymore bag slung around me (use as dump pouch)
craghopper elephant grey trouses with 1911 serpa concealed on belt
Black leather or tan desert boots depending on weather.

TM M4a1 Socom
TM 1911a1

I have all of the above gear already.

Sounds pretty good, with delta you'd probably be looking at a slightly more offensive M4 set, maybe some heavier duty webbing like an ISAAK or similar. Otherwise sounds pretty good.

Try getting a plaid shirt though, it's a very american look and distances you from the Brit SF.

Yeah I've seen a few pictures of them in use. A Pakol would also be a good touch and maybe some American touches like oakley gloves, a flash holster or some 'gucci' bits and pieces.

Maybe a PACA or something over a heatgear t shirt, but under the plaid shirt and 5.11 vest?

I'd try and 'yank up' your loadout, if only because I'd lay money on some UKSF geardo having a go at you for not getting the SBS kit right

Agreed - it would make a great SBS loadout with a SFW and sig.

I do not want a rig/paca of any type because thats why I am doing this to get away from it. But I could add some Tan Oakley gloves, pakol maybe when its cooler.

flash holster as in maybe a blackhawk cqb dropleg platform for my serpa? What else is gucci and yank?

Sorry mate missed the serpa part of the original loadout. I reckon that'd look flash enough- if you're humping around the mountains I doubt you'd want a dropleg.

Maybe be cheeky and get like an American band or sports T shirt under the plaid shirt and 5.11 vest? Tactical Redneck style!

Ill get pics next week - need to order the Oakleys and shirt & t-shirt. I have a few superdry shirts that would be perfect but Im not going to ruin them lol

I'd look into getting an aimpoint/BUIS for your M4 and maybe a vert grip as well if you're going delta. Don't bother with a sling though, just get a bungee or something.

vert grip would need a ris also then.
I always like a 3 point sling to keep it comfy :S

You could always just get a bolt-on rail for it. Or leave it plain, it's up to you!

btw mate i dont think oakleys were produced back in 2001 i remember a discussion about a 2003 iraq uksf loadout which had oakleys in and they were supposed to be just getting produced then and even the seals (who were first to use oakleys) wernt useing them in greatt numbers

so personally i would just go for some nomex flight gloves
